something tells me that is very possible that the motorcyclist will never have chance to ride with lights on again...

Most roads in belgium are illuminated, It cost a lot but i am sure it saved lot of people on our roads... Everyone can forget to turn his lights on...

When I drive, I often see cyclists without lights. This video - maybe shocking - should remind you how important it is to care about all your lights functioning properly.

#6 the road in the video was also illuminated... but it was impossible to see the motorcycle unless you replay the video and deliberately look for it.. but you can't do that in real life.

The car in front had already turned left, in front of the oncoming motorcyclist. That *should* have alerted the rider to pay a little more attention to the road ahead and to slow down.

#6 here in holland most roads have lights too, but if you "forget" ( read too stupid ) to turn your lights on at night you don't belong on the road at all.

Lets see, what can possibly be cheaper... having lights in a 1000 lamp posts? Or having regulation that requires people to have driving lights on their vehicles?
Oh wait, maybe thats why so many countries have laws saying that you HAVE TO have lights on the car...

#14: he meant increased; for example, take three people with iq: 2, 6 and 10. Their average iq equals 18/3 = 6. But if you "erase" our biker and his IQ=2 it's 16/2=8 and average IQ increased, 6 to 8.

Interesting, No safety glass in the windshield. Sometimes I'm glad I live in the US. Sure, go ahead and bash us for all the stuff we do wrong, and you can bash our big government, but at least Im sure when some drunk dumbass comes barreling through an intersection without his lights on and goes through my windshield that Im not going to end up impaled on an 18 inch shard of glass as a result.

I can think of several morals for this story but I fear they are all too late the motorcyclist.
